We’re going back to Brackett…

Our usual Saturday workout commenced at Brackett Park this week. We kinda lied (OK, did lie) about the exercises we were going to do. We didn’t move the log but we did have some visitors to come and look at it. Yes, Gene and Connie… we saw you!!!!

If you are on a track, at Brackett (run all four backstops), or have some other random 400m distance to run, try this.

Equipment needed:   Assortment of weights (10-30 lbs) and styles (KB, plates, dumbbells)

Who you need: A partner (or a group) to judge time for each exercise. OR just perform exercise for the time it takes you to run 400m.

Just get to it? OK.

Here is the workout:

  • 400m Run
  • Straight leg sit-ups with weight
  • 400m Run
  • Push-ups
  • 400m Run
  • Plank (vary it up!)
  • 400m Run
  • OH weight carry (two arm, single arm, your choice!)
  • 400m Run
  • Lunge with weight forward (hold at chest, by sides, or OH)
  • 400m Run
  • Lunge with weight reverse (hold at chest, by sides, or OH)
  • 400m Run
  • 8 count with weight
  • 400m Run
  • Crab crawl forward
  • 400m Run
  • Crab crawl reverse
  • 400m Run
  • Leg raise 6 inches/90 degrees with weight OH
  • 400m Run
  • Frog hop forward
  • 400m Run
  • Frog hop reverse
